Description
The axis (C2) is the second cervical vertebra and is distinguished by the dens, a vertical process around which the atlas rotates, allowing the head to turn. This 3D printed model shows the dens, the vertebral body, the superior articular surfaces and the spinous process in detail, giving a clear picture of the rotation mechanism in the upper cervical segment. The model is useful for anatomy exam preparation, clinical demonstrations and orthopedic education. Made from PLA, it is durable enough for regular use in teaching.
